History & Inception

Gradial Perdana Perkasa started as a small family joint venture under a different company name in 1980 in Surabaya, East Java. The company practiced traditional methods in manufacturing men’s footwear for the Indonesian market. Within a few years the company built its first factory to support an increasing demand. In 1988 the company secured a major international order from ASPO Group, one of the Netherlands’ largest men’s footwear buyers and became one of Java’s first footwear exporter to Europe.

When the family joint venture agreement ended in 1990, Mr. Hartono Sutanto, PT. Gradial Perdana Perkasa’s current President Director decided to establish an independent company, marking the inception of PT. Gradial Perdana Perkasa in 1992.

Under a new management and branding, PT. Gradial Perdana Perkasa developed successful key partnerships and strong business relations with many European clients and gained recognition for our superior quality export footwear. In 1996 we started receiving direct orders for children’s footwear from European buyers.

The company has since experienced exponential growth. Our success is reflected in our commitment in producing superior quality footwear, exceeding our clients’ expectations, and providing excellent customer service.
